Amazing Homemade Face Masks

Most of you probably have plenty of creams, lotions and essential oils to brighten your skin and minimize your pores. But did you know that the perfect face mask can be made right at home, with natural ingredients?. Check out our top  favorite combinations of all-natural ingredients to create the perfect home-made face mask.

1.  Honey and Avocado

Avocado is delicious, and its also an amazing ingredient for your skin. To prepare a face mask, just blend mashed avocado (2-3 whole ones) with honey (1/2 cup) in a bowl and after mixing thoroughly, apply it on your skin. Wait for 15 minutes and then wash your face, using lukewarm water. The result will be shiny, moisturized skin.

2.  Lavender and Oatmeal

This homemade mask is packed with nourishing and softening features. This exquisite treatment gives your skin a healthy look and loosens it up at the same time. To make this face mask, blend powdered buttermilk (1/3 cup) and cornmeal (1/4 cup). Then, add oatmeal (1 cup) and buds of dried lavender (1/3 cup). Add a dash of honey (1/4 teaspoon), lavender essential oil (2 drops) and a splash of water. Mix it into a paste and apply it on your face. After waiting for several minutes, rinse it off.

3.  Grapefruit and Oatmeal

This face mask is an amazing option to refresh your skin, just by using a few ingredients that you’ll surely have laying around your kitchen. This mask is perfect for when you need that skin detox, but don’t have time to go out and find a specific cream. Take a red grapefruit (1), mash it and blend with cooked oatmeal (1 cup) and milk (1 cup). Spread the paste on your skin and let it stay for 15 minutes. Finally, wash the mask off. The acidity from the grapefruit together with the cooling oatmeal will lean your skin feeling super fresh.

4.  Turmeric

Turmeric is one of the most powerful ingredients to prepare facial masks- if you have some lying around, save some for your own homemade face mask. It fights against wrinkles and makes your complexion brighter. When combined with honey and yogurt in a paste, the mixture will purify the skin and give it a radiant touch. After scrubbing the mixture on your face, let it stay for half an hour and enjoy your moisturized, acne-free face.

5.  Chocolate and Oatmeal

This homemade face mask is prepared by blending cocoa (1/3 cup), honey (1/4 cup) together with sour cream (3 tablespoons) and oatmeal powder (3 tablespoons). Chocolate isn’t designed for curing breakouts, but it does provide your skin with antioxidants while stimulating blood circulation.  Mix the ingredients in a bowl and spread the paste on your face. Massage a little and rinse it off after waiting for 15-20 minutes.

6.  Green Tea and Honey

You don’t need to brew any tea for this mask! Simply grab tea leaves and mix them with honey to create a paste. Leave it on for 15 minutes, and you’ll have completed your very own makeshift spa treatment. The antioxidants in the tea help fight against blackheads!

7.  Honey, Cinnamon and Nutmeg

By adding nutmeg (1 teaspoon), to cinnamon (1 teaspoon) and honey (2 tablespoons) , you’ll be able to purify your skin and reduce your pimples. This face mask, made of all natural ingredients, will make your skin shiny and healthy, preventing the appearance of pimples and exfoliating as well.

8.  Pumpkin

Take the remnants of pumpkin (perfect for after halloween) and use its beneficial qualities when creating a face mask. Make a puree from 1 cup of pumpkin, add organic honey (1/2 a teaspoon) and milk (1/2 a teaspoon). Apply the mixture on your face and wait for 20 minutes. Finally, rinse your face with the help of lukewarm water.

9.  Greek Yogurt

Another homemade face mask, this time with only 2 ingredients. It will both nourish and calm your skin, and it’s super easy. For this recipe, you will need to blend plain Greek yogurt and some probiotic capsules. Apply the mixture with a cotton ball, and wait for 10 minutes. Then, rinse it off. You’ll be feeling refreshed instantly.

10.  Honey and Egg

A stunning face mask, great for acne problems, is made by mixing one egg white and one tablespoon of honey. The proteins in egg whites have a pore-tightening feature to prevent the dirt from intruding into your skin! Honey will stick to and remove the dirt which already exists in the skin, once you wash this face mask off.
